William “Mullet” Su
I am a lawyer, Esports consultant, and retired pro-gamer, lucky enough to continue fulfilling my passion in gaming by helping people in the industry navigate legal issues and reach their goals. I have been gaming since I was 8, eventually competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch for almost a decade before retiring and becoming a lawyer. From competition to retirement, I had to learn about the nuances in building a career in gaming from scratch. Now, I help the gaming industry through ambiguous and emerging legal problems, support growing creators in navigating the industry, and volunteer as an alumni-advisor to the University of Alberta Esports Association.
Favorite Games: Darkest Dungeon, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Payday 2
Joseph “v10mega” Albassam
My name is Yousef Albassam, although I prefer Joseph. My very first game was the original Doom and ever since I loaded the game for the first time: I was in love. So much so that I have been gaming since that fateful day. I have participated in various pro tournaments in the Call of Duty scene under team VIO and NEVO during UMG Niagara in 2014 and UMG Orlando in 2015. Shortly after I decided that the pro scene was not for me, and I found my passion in marketing the game industry within Canada. Through fortune or fate I met William in the same program: Enthusiast Gaming’s Gaming Grant sponsored by the Royal Bank of Canada. We have similar interests and are fully determined to see the rise of Esports within Canada. My role within NSG is to help market, comfort and expand client’s content to reach a bigger audience.
Favorite games: League of Legends, Apex Legends, Warhammer 40k
